To succeed at Further you need to be part road cyclist, part mountainbiker, part hiker, part fell runner, mostly belligerent, an expert strategist and with a broad vocabulary of swear words. being an olympian might also help. or you can just do your best and see what happens

FURTHER 2019

Ariège / France

Riding this year, there were an equal number of men and women. At Further, we believe that men and women should race on an equal footing.

This year, Emma Pooley spectacularly underlined this ethos. Along with the four other women who completed the race alongside four men riding solo and two men riding as a pair.

We would like to thank Isola Press, Jet McDonald, Herbx and Mason Cycles for the brilliant prizes given to the first three riders to finish. Prizes that gave something for the body, for the mind and of course, something for the ride.

We’d also like to thank Raw Velo for their support with some sustenance for the riders.

There were times when I wondered whether Further had designed the course as an elaborate and cruel experiment in performance art...
but ultimately it was the most beautiful, challenging, and happy experience I’ve ever had on a bike

Rally

The Further Rally 2019 was more than riding your bicycle.
It was camping, bbq, pool swimming, wild swimming, butterflies, beer, fun, great vibes, community, love, sharing, support, celebration.....

it was something very special.
Let’s do it again.
